Border Counties Midweek Travellers Series at Redesmere...

Tuesday 9th August Redesmere Lake

First of all a big thank you to everyone who helped to organise this race event. Peter Baldwin for his excellent race directorship and assistants, the 2 safety boats and the social team for providing refreshments on such a hot day. There were 3 races, spread out throughout the day. The courses set took in the full length of the lake. 22 boats took part, 9 from Redesmere including 5 Juniors.

It was really good to sail with the travellers and against different classes of boats. Once they got used to uniqueness of the Redesmere's wind, ice-cream van mark and the shallows the travellers did really well. However the overall winner was Redesmere's Tom Brindley who showed great skill to beat the visiting boats. Thanks to all the happy travellers who took the time to visit Redesmere. We learnt a lot from you!
