Standup Paddleboarding (SUP)
Perhaps it has been a while since you were last on the water or maybe you want to take an opportunity to improve your skills or try a new sport. Whatever your motivation, if you might be interested in SUP, the Club has an enthusiastic Standup Paddleboarding (SUP) group that meets regularly and frequently through the year (generally April to September) to enjoy the beauty of Redesmere, good company and beneficial exercise .
No previous experience is necessary and there are plenty of enthusiastic willing hands to support, encourage and assist if required. The Club has a small number of free-to-use Club SUPs, so you don't even need one of those to give it a go. The SUP programme is available in the Calendar, with live update to Members via WhatsApp. For more information, please Contact Us.
Needless to say, both the Galley and the Bar are available, along with the Club BBQs if the fancy takes you.
SUP options include,
Social Paddles
Join in each week and paddle along with the group, or come along to one of our regular Saturday afternoon Social Sails for a gentle paddle in the company of other sailors and paddlers - you might even want totry your hand in one of our Club Boats!
SUP Paddle Fitness
There is no better way to get fit than an on-water paddle program including paddle fast, slow, out of the water and run on the shore, back and paddling on the water, completing a few sharp turns along the way. It's a different type of fitness program that uses a lot of your muscles and stamina!
Competitive Races
