Club Racing
Redesmere has a varied and busy sailing calendar with something for everyone, from serious competitors to complete beginners. All Members are welcome to come along and Try Racing, either in their own dinghy or one of the Club Boats.
Club Racing is generally Handicap Fleet racing although, where sufficient boats of a particular class take part, a separate class-fleet start may be introduced along with a class-fleet championship that runs alongside the full Club programme.
Details of the Club's varied racing programme can be found in the Outline Racing Programme. More details and the latest information, including Sailing Instructions, Coaching Tips etc., are available from the Calendar and in the Members' Library.
Club Boats and Buoyancy Aids are available to Members for Racing free of charge and without pre-booking - simply Turn-up, Rig and Race! All we ask is that you have fun, the boats are treated with respect and that all Club equipment is returned to the correct place when finished with. If there are any problems or breakages (accidents do happen!) these should be reported promptly to the Facilities Team, so that repairs can be carried out before the next sailing session.Club Racing generally takes place,
- Sundays mornings & early afternoons
- Wednesday evenings
- Saturday mornings through Summer
For more details and race start times etc, please refer to the Outline Racing Programme and Calendar.
