CLUB TRAINING & SUNDAY RACING IS BACK!
Published 7:00pm on 19 Jul 2020
With the latest easing of Coronavirus lockdown measures, the Club is now able to resume a programme of Club Training, Coaching and Sunday Racing for its Members.
With Training sessions for Adults, Juniors and Racers, the revised programme offers something for most Members, although the current restrictions do still prevent the teaching of complete beginners; it currently it is not practical for our RYA qualified instructors to provide the necessary close-contact and hands-on support for effective introductory training of beginners.
Instead, the programme focusses on upskilling, confidence building and the introduction of racing skills to sailors of all ages.
Similarly, Sunday Racing now returns, in addition to the Saturday and Wednesday socially distant pursuit racing, with three PY handicap races each Sunday, starting at 10:15am, and followed by Informal Sailing from 2:00pm
Further information on the current Training Programme, Racing Calendar and all our other on-the-water post-lockdown activities is available from the Club Calendar. Details of our normal RYA training programme, currently suspended, can be downloaded here.
If you are not a Member of the Club, but want to know a little more about us and/or how anyone can enjoy the sport of sailing, whatever their skill, aspiration or budget, try our Club Page for an overview (or even how to Join Us) or feel free to Contact Us.
