REDESMERE OLYMPIC SAILOR WINS GOLD AT WEYMOUTH

Club Member and Olympic Laser sailor Elliot Hanson reaffirmed his position as the UK' no.1 Laser sailor with a convincing win at the UKLA National Championship held in Weymouth over 23rd-26th August.

For many sailors this was their first return to top flight racing this season, and Elliot was joined by a number of other sailors from Redesmere. Tom Brindley (Laser Standard / ILCA 7) and Anya Haji-Michael (Laser Radial / ILCA 6) both confirmed their ongoing development with solid performances in their relevant class Gold Fleets, whilst Issy Wallwork was similarly convincing in securing 1st Youth Girl in the Radial.

Back at home base, Redesmere SC, the next generation of Redesmere national and international sailors are growing their own skills, with regular training and a variety of race coaching supported by these top-flight national and international racers.
