BART's BASH 2017

At this year's Bart's Bash (17th of September) over 30 sailors took part in the carnival atmosphere that is Redesmere's Bart's Bash Race, which yet again put the Club in the top 1/3 of worldwide participation! (plus at least that many shore supporters). For a number of people taking part it was the first time they had ever raced and for some people it is the only race they will enter this year - that was how special an event it was. With Members's donations on the day and profits from the stunning lunch laid on by the Social Committee, the Club raised over £320 for the Andrew Simpson Foundation as well as delivering on the key aspiration of the Foundation - introducing new people to the sport of sailing.
