BART'S BASH 2018!

This year's Bart's Bash at Redesmere was held on Sunday 16th of September, with the second race of the day (part of our Autumn, Novice & Junior Championship Series) providing the ideal opportunity for Members and friends of all ages, experience and aspiration to take part,ina true reflection of the Bart's Bash ethos.

For a number of people this was the first time they had ever raced and for others it may be the only race they enter each year - that is how special an event it was. It took a gritty performance by all participants to overcome the difficult conditions and a strong onshore breeze, but persistence paid and it was very evident that people were enjoying the occasion to the full and celebrating Bart's Bash in style.

A cracking hot lunch was provided by our Social Committee, topped off by cakes for dessert. In all, over £185 was raised for the Andrew Simpson Foundation.
