EASTER CHAMPAGNE SAILING!

Another stunning sailing window over the Easter break, with something for everyone - Social Sailing, Power Boat Familiarisation, Sail Training, Informal Sailing, Standup Paddleboarding, RC sailing and, to follow, Laser Open Racing next weekend. The best of all that is Redesmere and what great weather; blue skies, sun and a fresh breeze.

Power Boat Familiarisation on the first Saturday morning, learning the basics of both driving and rescue, was followed by glorious Social Sailing in the afternoon with a steady breeze, sun and Phil as Beachmaster providing help and assistance as required - just the conditions to have a great time on and off the water and so many people did. It was great to see so much activity on and off the water as people just enjoyed the weather, the sailing, the Galley and, of course, the Bar.

Easter Sunday saw the second One Day event the racing season, the Easter Trophy Handicap, paired with the children's Easter Egg Hunt (ashore!) and on Bank Holiday Monday the lake was a hive of activity again as Members took advantage of the glorious Bank Holiday weather to go Informal Sailing in both their own boats and the fleet of modern free-to-use Club Boats.

All in all a great Easter break, showcasing the best of Redesmere, as members of all abilities, aspiration and experience had a great time learning new skills, dusting off old skills and generally having fun on the water. Long may it continue through the season.

Next week, we welcome Laser sailors from across the North-West for the Redesmere round of the regional Laser Championship, where they will be treated to Redesmere's traditional high levels of hospitality from the stalwarts in the Club Galley.
