2020 Training Programme Open for Booking
Published 12:00am on 9 Feb 2020
Applications for this year's RYA Training courses opened on Sunday 9th February. As usual, the Club's Training Team has prepared a broad programme for a range of experience, both sail and powerboat. This year includes a range of sailing and racing clinics, geared at building experience and confidence, alongside a range of RYA Begginer, Intermediate and Advanced Sail and Powerboat courses.
There are also a number of free Member Familiarisation sessions. These familiarisation sessions are essential to ensure all Members have a basic familiarity with the Club Safety Boats and the particular constraints of their safe operation at Redesmere. The Club OD Briefing is also recommended, particularly for those with OD or AOD duties this year.
In addition, RYA Emergency First Aid and RYA Assistant Instructor training is available; support is also provided to those Members wishing to develop their training skills further as RYA Instructors, RYA Powerboat Instructors and beyond. For those interested in Paddleboarding, our active SUP'ers have also arranged Familiarisation and Basic Skills training.
Details of the various courses etc can be found on the Club website, where bookings are also taken.
If you are not a Member of the Club, but want to know a little more about us and/or how anyone can enjoy the sport of sailing, whatever their skill, aspiration or budget, try our Club Page for an overview (or even how to Join Us) or feel free to Contact Us.
As always, Redesmere's RYA accredited Training Team is entirely voluntary and will do everything practical to make training an enjoyable as well as enriching experience.
