Dinghy Instructor and Assistant Instructor Training

An Assistant Instructor qualification is open to those who hold the Seamanship qualification and are interested in helping with Club training. It is only valid for the centre where it is taken.

Preparation for the Dinghy Instructor course and Pre-assessment will be required and candidates will need to assist on training courses.

Instructor training will take place alongside all junior and adult courses. Candidates will be required to commit to helping on a course.

Redesmere Sailing Club is an RYA Training Centre committed to providing high quality training for both adults and children.

Our accreditation enables us to teach and examine candidates under various RYA training schemes. These include: the National Dinghy Sailing Scheme; the Youth Sailing Scheme; the Powerboat Scheme and the Emergency First Aid Scheme.

Our dedicated training team of volunteers consists of qualified RYA instructors and assistant instructors who deliver all of our RYA training courses.
