In line with the current UK Government Covid-19 guidance and the RYA's 'Return to Boating: Be Considerate, Be Conservative' advice, the Club's usual Calendar of supported Social Sailing, RYA Training, regular Racing and social events remains suspended.
The Club is implementing a phased return, as circumstances allow and Covid-19 guidance supports, and is now open for Members
- Informal Sailing at any time
- Use of the Club's fleet of 40 free-to-use Club Boats
- Social Sailing
- Socially Distanced Competitive Sailing & PY Handicap racing
- Club Training and coaching to develop sailing skills, improve confidence and to coach racing skills for both novice and more-experienced racers .
Power boat access is available throughout the week to provide Safety Cover on a self-recovery basis. Regular Safety Cover is also being provided by Member Volunteers.
Measures are in place to support Social Distancing and hygiene recommendations and Members' sail (or SUP) on the lake 'at their own risk'. All Members are expected to comply with the latest and emerging Government advice and the Club's own Reopening Guidelines & FAQs. Currently, Clubhouse facilities are limited to toilet access, self-service Galley & Bar or drinks and snacks and, obviously, First Aid and emergency facilities.
A detailed schedule of current activities is available from the Club Calendar.Covid-19 guidance is kept under constant review and we will be returning to our full calendar as soon as practical.
