This Girl Can (LADIES OPEN DAY)
Interested in sailing, training or joining, and want to see what the sport offers to ladies, then please come down and join us on our 'Ladies Only' Open Day, part of the 'This Girl Can' Sport England initiative. There will be opportunities to go out on the water with other ladies, meet other lady sailors, and to meet and discuss how to take-up, resume or further develop your sailing with ladies from our RYA qualified Training Team - as well as the chance to experience and discuss what sailing has to offer both to individuals and to families.
We welcome all lady sailors from absolute beginner to experienced sailor. Please come along whether you want to simply have fun on the water, sail to gain confidence, relax or forge friendships. If you don't want to sail but would still like to come along, you are more than welcome - the more the merrier! This Girl Can is a celebration of active women who are doing their thing no matter how well they do it, how they look or even how red their face gets. Funded by The National Lottery and developed by Sport England, This Girl Can wants to help women overcome the fear of judgement that is stopping too many women and girls from joining in.
