Comet Zero

  • Design year

    1999

Great for beginners. A handy size and light weight, the new Zero can be sailed and enjoyed by everyone. Comfortable, roomy and uncluttered, the standard Zero is beautifully simple with a stayed mast and single sail. A pivoting centerboard is a lot more forgiving than the daggerboard usually fitted to small dinghies. All round "sit in seats" and a low cockpit floor give a great feeling of security, compared with some other beginners dinghies. An optional furling jib and the addition of toestraps raise the speed and excitement. Other options for the Zero include wooden fendering, storage lockers, oars and outboard motors, turning the Zero into a classic all rounder. Comet Zero Further options of an extra self-bailer, centre-mainsheet and asymmetric spinnaker make the Zero a surprisingly fast junior racer! Whether you want a dinghy to sail on your own, for you and a friend, or for your children, the Zero is the ideal dinghy for you.
