SUMMER TRAINING, 2019

This year's recently completed summer Training Week was another stunning success and a tribute to the hard work of all the Club's volunteer RYA accredited Instructors. The sunshine was excellent over the 5 days, the wind interesting and variable, and sunscreen and hydration were a priority for all.Some 30 children & young adults took part covering the full breadth of the RYA Youth Scheme, RYA Seamanship skills and RYA Dinghy Instructor training, with a range of Certificates being awarded at the course end and with three new Dinghy Instructor's qualified. The usual end of course 'Ice Cream Race ' and BBQ were held as part of the traditional end-of-week celebrations.

By the end of the week there were lots of happy, but tired, young people, looking forward to their opportunities to get on the water during the school holidays and beyond. Parent comments on the week included,

"Huge well done all and massive thank you's to Rachel Ward and her team of RYA Instructors, other helpers and everyone who made it happen...

...Thank you Team Redesmere"
