Easter Sailing, Fun & BBQ

Published 1:00am on 6 Apr 2019

The Easter holidays are upon us and the weather is warming up, bringing the first social and sail training events of the season.

The first Social Sail of the season is on Saturday (13th) and, whatever your sailing aspiration, the Club will be open from 12:30 for Members to turn-up and play (in either their own boats or the free-to-use Club Boat fleet), dusting-off their sailing cobwebs and getting out on the water for enjoyable cruising around the lake. As always, there will be a Beachmaster on hand to assist, Safety Cover on the water and plenty of other willing hands if needed. To mark the first Social Sail of the season, we will also be dusting off the Club BBQs for the first time this year. Yet again, the Galley and Bar will also be open!

Both Adult Sail Training and Powerboat Familiarisation are also taking place on the 13th and so the club is sure to be 'buzzing'

Sunday Racing continues through April, including our the annual Easter Trophy event on Sunday 21st April with the Children's Easter Egg Hunt beginning at 1:30pm, so why not come down to enjoy some sailing and/or chocolate fun. As always, the Galley and Bar will be open.

If you're looking to sail two-handed, but haven't got a sailing partner (Helm or Crew), why not try out the Club's new 'Crew Finder' facility in the Members' Area.

Social Sails continue every other Saturday through the season, with SUP sessions on most Thursdays and Fridays. For more details, simply refer to the Club Sailing Calendar.
