Radio Control Sailing on a cold January morning

The Radio Control salilors were out again racing in very cold weather on a Tuesday morning in January.

Wind very light to non-existent. From all directions during a single leg (sometimes several times over!). Big gains and losses by being in the right or wrong place and being able to recognise what was going on. Some nail biting moments as boats approached the finish. Strange how the boat following always seemed to be travelling faster (until it edged ahead). Felt to many of the six of us to be largely a matter of luck .... yet one of us seemed to find a way through to win four of the five races we managed to sail. So Peter Baldwin first with 4 points, Jeff Smith second on 7 and myself third on 12.
